Equine Genomics
We offer population structure, relatedness management, and genetic defect screening services for racing and breeding horses. The line runs on panel and coordinate-verification infrastructure built separately for Equus caballus.

In horses and cattle, identity determination and parentage verification using the DNA STR method are carried out by the sole officially authorized laboratory in Türkiye. Vethia does not offer this service. The official verification required for herdbook registration is obtained from that authorized laboratory.
It can be done from birth. Because the genetic makeup does not change with age, the result remains valid for life. Early testing creates value because it allows the decision to be made early.
The accuracy is reported separately for every trait and is not hidden. Accuracy depends on the size of the reference population and the heritability of the trait. We do not present a low-accuracy trait as if it were high-accuracy.
No. Your data is not shared or sold without your written consent. Anonymous aggregate use aimed at strengthening the reference population is carried out only with separate, explicit consent; declining to give consent does not affect your service.
