About
Vethia is a science and technology company working in veterinary molecular diagnostics and genomics. We serve three fields — animal health, animal breeding, and clinical genomics — with the same engineering discipline.
Our Founding Observation
Our founding observation was simple: molecular diagnostics and genomic analysis had become accessible in Türkiye, but the data produced was not sufficiently reflected in day-to-day decisions at the operation level. We were founded to close the gap between producing a result and producing a decision.
What We Do
- We provide PCR-based molecular diagnostic panels and antibiotic resistance tests in ruminant, equine, pet, and poultry species.
- In farm animals, we produce genomic breeding value estimates, selection decisions, and mating decisions.
- We carry out GWAS, genomic prediction, and panel design projects for research institutions and the private sector.
- We operate a multi-tenant software platform that lets operations manage their own data.
- We provide pharmacogenomic and clinical exome interpretation solutions for clinical laboratories.
- We organize structured training and live events for breeders, veterinarians, and association staff.
Our Working Principles
The principles below are not marketing statements but technical rules built into the architecture of our products. Each one can be observed in our reports.
- When in doubt, stop — do not guess
- No prediction is produced for a sample that fails the quality threshold. The analysis does not silently continue; it stops and the reason is written in the report. Missing data is never filled with a default value.
- Marker vs. causal variant distinction
- A result based on a linked marker in genetic defect screening is not reported as a causal variant detection. The evidentiary status of every result is stated explicitly.
- Observation vs. assumption distinction
- Every numerical value in our reports is flagged with one of three layers: direct measurement, model-derived, or assumption-based.
- Constants are frozen and versioned
- Population constants, heritabilities, and index weights are tied to a version number. There is no silent recalculation; when a change occurs, it is recorded in the changelog.
- Deterministic output
- The same input file, with the same methodology version, always produces the same report. Results are reproducible and auditable.
- Scope separation
- The livestock and clinical lines are separated at the data, infrastructure, and documentation level. The two fields have different regulatory regimes and are not mixed.
- No black box
- Index formulas, weights, and quality thresholds are published. The customer's ability to verify the result is not a cost to us — it is part of the product.
Contact and Getting Started
The process begins with a non-binding needs consultation. In this meeting, we discuss your herd's current status, your goals, and your budget framework; together we determine the package that suits you.
